Dr Premila Ashok has been an established Consultant since 2003 both in the NHS and Private Sector. She undertook the majority of her postgraduate and specialty training in Aberdeen and the West Midlands. Dr Ashok currently Chairs the Gynaecology Redesign Group for the New Women’s Hospital in NHS Grampian.

Dr Ashok has joined TAC Healthcare to provide a Gynaecology Service in a safe and effective environment for Women in the North-East of Scotland. This would involve both Consultations and Out-patient Diagnostic and Treatment at our Clinic in Cults.

Dr Ashok offers a range of Gynaecology services which includes a one stop Gynaecology clinic at The Aberdeen Clinic where pelvic ultrasound scans are undertaken in clinic at the time of initial consultation

Dr Ashok’s General Gynaecology practise involved treating women with

  • Menstrual Disturbances
  • Pelvic Pain
  • Fibroids
  • Endometriosis
  • Ovarian cysts
  • Prolapse, incontinence
  • Postmenopausal bleeding and menopausal problems
  • Fertility

She is an accredited Sub-specialist in reproductive medicine and surgery and is the Deputy Sub-speciality Trainer for Reproductive Medicine and Surgery in Aberdeen. Dr Ashok offers fertility treatment which includes investigations and ovulation induction. Couples requiring assisted reproduction can be referred on a self-funded basis for further treatment.

Dr Ashok has been instrumental in setting up the Out-Patient Hysteroscopy (Ambulatory) Service at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary which is now well established since March 2018. With the Covid Pandemic this service has been invaluable in delivering a safe and effective means of undertaking hystersoscopic procedures in an out-patient setting without the need for an anaesthetic or need for self isolation 2 weeks prior to the procudure.

Dr Ashok has set up the Out-Patient Hysteroscopy Service at the Aberdeen Clinic which is the only Ambulatory Clinic in the Private Sector offering a range of hysteroscopic procedures in an out-patient setting which includes:

Diagnostic Hysteroscopy –

  • For menstrual dysfunction
  • Post-menoapusal bleeding

Operative Hysteroscopy –

  • Removal of Endometrial Polyps
  • Hysteroscopic removal of fibroids
  • Hysteroscopic removal of coils
  • Endometrial Ablation

Dr Ashoks operative expertise includes Vaginal, Laparoscopic and Open surgery. She is trained to undertake hysterctomies through all routes
